do you know about the 23th Golden Melody Award for the best female singer？

she's Tanya Chuai, my goddess

you may know about her chinese classic song like: stranger(陌生人), Amphibious animals(雙棲動物) ...and so on.

But you might not know about her English Album.

Actually she released five English albums already.

About Tanya:

born in January, 28, 1975, she's a famous Chinese singer, songwriter,and music producer.

She's from singapore so that she's a bilingual singer. 

she had released several Chinese and English albums already.

Moreover, she's the first female singer who got the Golden Melody Awards best female singer for  3 times.

The age of 19, she became the vocalist of a cover-song-based band in Singapore, they often performed at pubs, hotels, and it's the opening of her career.

Once said in her earlier interview: 

"I never wanted to end the life of this kind of performances and life, I was still young in that time, the thoughts was very simple, 

I just loved to sing, and felt that singing in the bar was a very interesting way to earn pocket money.

It didn't change until once one of the senior members of the band said harsh words to me. 

When we were practicing a new repertoire , I suggested that we can renumber the song to make it little more interesting, 

but it was the keyboard player that telling me to shut up, because he thought I did not understand music. ''

she felt hurt and embarrassed, but the event push her to buy her first guitar the second day, and she learned by herself.

thanks to the event, it made her achievement now.

1. Carousel

it's really a woeful song to a break lover. 

We ususlly connect the carousel with the amusement and laughter,

while this song used carousel as a symbol of the love between a lover.

even they took thousand rides, rounds and rounds, 

the carousel would stop at the end......

we used to think that carousel means the love would never end,

but Tanya totally overturned the point!

Whether love is like a merry-go-round, even there was lots of joy, but it will end someday...

2.Just Say So

Tanya uses an easy and charming way to sing love

even though there's a lot of obstacle and problem between lovers, 

if you still love him or her, just say so!

the largest obstacle and the setback in the love

is that we guess and guess, but still could not find out the answer and the real thoughts of the other half.

so, why don't we just say so?

3. Never Before

when you listend to it roughly without read the lyric, you might just think it were a soothing song.

however, read the lyric carefully, you'll find it to be full of touch of sadness.

she used an undisturbed tone with loss to describe the story,

in the beginning, she told about the promise he'd ever told.

and so that, she embraced the hope to live her life, thought that her heart would not be broken forever and ever..

however, he didn't stay, when did the love gone away?

love went so far, just like they never met before....
